This publication is truly a collaboration of our family — a collection of stories, memories, photographs, and reflections that honor our past while celebrating who we are today. It was inspired by the remarkable journey of our ancestors, whose courage, resilience, and perseverance continue to live within each of us.
Our family’s heritage reflects a rich and enduring legacy. Through generations of triumphs and challenges, our ancestors carried forward a spirit of strength, faith, and determination that remains the foundation of our family today. Their sacrifices and unwavering perseverance paved the way for the generations gathered here.
Our family story includes two brothers, Gregory and Phillip, who married twin sisters, Eudora and Izora. From these unions came our beloved grandmother, Harbernia Green. Rush Green and Mary Young gave birth to Harbernia’s husband, James Franklin Green. Together, they raised ten children whose descendants now gather from near and far to celebrate the Green-Roberts Family Reunion in 2026.
As we celebrate our shared heritage, we remember that we are more than just a family connected by blood — we are Keepers of the Memory. We carry forward the stories, values, sacrifices, and triumphs of those who came before us. Their determination lives within us. Their strength guides us. Their love sustains us.
